Life is Worth Living

I feel that the sentence "Life is worth living" doesn't weigh enough as it should. Its overlooked, a hopeful cliche.

People will often rebuttal with the state of the climate, or the state of the economy, or their lack of money, or college is a scam, all those kinds of things. Personally, I think those are all excuses. You're here, on this earth—you're breathing air. There's no going back.  It doesn't matter the state of anything. The numbers on your bank account don't matter, and how expensive eggs are does not have to make the quality of your life any worse. Yes, it makes things harder - but my opinion on inflation is a topic for another time.

The afterlife doesn't have to determine your time on earth either.

Think of your wildest dreams - if you made a vision board, what would be on it? I guarantee they are achievable goals. Now, the steps to get there may be painful, but I promise you, anything is possible.

My mother was not really in my life. She made some poor choices that stuck with her for life. But the way I see it is that she chose not to evolve and go through the pain to come out the other side. She overdosed when I was 15.

I lost my brother to suicide. He was someone who had a very hard time seeing the light rather than the dark. He was someone who would rebuttal with "what's the point?"

Here is what sparks the fire in me: Did either one of these breathing human beings allow life to offer them a transcendent transformation?  Drowning out your life with drugs is running - you can't allow life to change you, God to mold you, if you're running. I stopped running. I allowed life and karma to shoot at me over and over until I learned how to not only handle it, but also change how I see this life.

You like airplanes? Go be a pilot, fly them, build them, paint them, build the technology.

You like dogs? Train them, bathe them, groom them, walk them!

You like carrots? eat them, grow them, cook them, make art with them!

You loathe spending money on eggs?  make friends with your neighbor who already has them.

oh you don't like people? buy some damn eggs.

You can't have anything in this life without a sacrifice. Once you get out of your head and out into the world, despite your trauma and your fears (which are valid but cannot control you), I promise you the light will shine brighter.  If you say no to everything and don't go for what you want, you'll be stagnant your whole life.

You have to believe that life is worth living because YOU believe it. because YOU do the work to enjoy it. because YOU made an effort to learn something today, or said yes to a conversation with a stranger in the store. life is what YOU make it. Make it worth living! You are unstoppable. You have the power. No matter how you were raised, no matter the people you've wronged. Your trauma can be worked through, your darkness can be diluted, and your brain has the power for change. Nothing is set in stone. Forgive yourself, love yourself, take a breath, and look at the sky.

"I didn't ask to be here." Well, you are. Might as well have everything you want.

xoxo
